Suspicious car leads to teen beer burglars



Stokesdale - Last night at 9:42, Cpl. Ben Strader responded to Mountain View Drive area due to a suspicious silver passenger car. Strader located the vehicle and found the driver to be Dixie Marshall. She had difficulty answering questions as to why she was in the area.

During that time, other deputies found a residential “breaking & entering” at 567 Mountain View Drive. Deputy Brian Friddle and K-9 tracked a suspect named Jamie Needham and detained him. Needham had been hiding nearby in bushes.

Detective Dan Hardy was called to the scene, and was able to charge the two aforementioned suspects with SECOND DEGREE BURGLARY and LARCENY AFTER BREAKING & ENTERING. According to the warrants, these suspects did during the nighttime did break and enter the dwelling house of Richard Dumas, intending to commit a larceny therein, a bag of canned and bottled beer valued at about $25.

Detective has stated that he will be obtaining additional warrants on an unidentified third suspect in this case.
